About Tricia Travis
International performer, poet, songwriter and vocalist, Tricia Travis spent six years in Europe where she brought classic American Jazz and Big Band music to appreciative European audiences. Her five star performances included the Arabella Grand Hotel in Frankfurt Germany and the Ritz Carlton in Barcelona, Spain. While in England, she wrote and performed a show called Blues to Broadway and recorded voice-overs.

In her own words:

“I have been in many intense relationships. Each one left its imprint allowing me to learn through the experience of love. I have long sense stopped blaming myself for the ‘failures.’ I know I played my part.

My songs come from my hopes and longings, my secrets and fantasies. They express aspects of love. Since love offers us something we can experience no other way, it can transport us into a dream-like state. It can color all we see and do the pleasure and the pain, the dark and the light. Music is like that dream state. We can laugh or cry because we could never bring ourselves to say these things to another yet a part of us longs to do just that.”

Easy Love was recorded in Rio de Janiero, Brazil in 2007. It brings together light bossa nova rhythms and classic American jazz. Some might even consider Tricia’s songs to be ultra-retro. They are indeed reminiscent of the classic love songs of the 1940’s and 1950’s. Yet, they also speak to how things have changed somehow the lyrics are both familiar and new. This is a truly unforgettable and unique compact disk.
